# Video Panel

The Video Panel object creates a procedural video panel with fully adjustable parameters. It can also render an integrated Area Light.

To create a Video Panel, go to: `Create > Video > Video Panel`

#### Settings

The Video Panel settings allow you to adjust the overall size and frame construction of the panel. The integrated Area Light can also be enabled here.

In the Material Settings, you can define the pixel size and spacing. Gap H and Gap V create horizontal and vertical gaps between the pixels, allowing you to create transparent or semi-transparent video walls.

#### Moire Effect

Depending on the pixel settings and the distance to the camera, a moire pattern may become visible. This effect can be reduced using the Reduce Moire Effect property.

#### Brightness

The brightness setting in the material only affects how bright the panel surface appears to the camera.

The intensity of the light emitted by the integrated Area Light can be adjusted separately.

#### Performance & Best Practices

For large video surfaces, it is generally better to use one large Video Panel instead of many smaller panels whenever possible.

Using a large number of individual panels can result in many active Area Lights, which may significantly affect rendering performance.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.depence.com/depence-construction/video-panel.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
